Stora Enso Beihai China received Procemex TWIN system

Stora Enso has placed an order for Procemex-TWIN integrated Web Monitoring & Web Inspection Systems for the new high quality liquid packaging and folding box board line located in Beihai, Guangxi Province in southern China.

These deliveries cover a complete web break analysing and paper quality inspection for the entire board production line.

The board machine delivery covers web break analysing with 26 cameras and paper quality inspection with multiple inspection measurement positions.

The systems utilize Procemex-Flex high speed matrix camera technology together with strobe LED illumination. The technology has been especially developed to cover high quality inspection needs. We are glad that Stora Enso trusted us again with this important project. This order is the 30th order bringing Procemex imaging technology on Stora Enso paper-, board- or coating machine, says Jari Keränen, Sales Director of Procemex.

By 2016, a fully operational consumer board machine will be in place outside the city of Beihai in the Guangxi region, and a chemical pulp mill will be established at a later date. Since China is currently depended on imports for wood and fibre, large plantations have also been set up under Stora Enso’s management. These plantations cover a total of 90,000 hectares of land, which is equivalent to an area slightly larger than the region of Hong Kong. The total investment in Beihai will be the largest ever in the history of Stora Enso.
