Senior Software Developer
We are seeking a Senior Sotfware Developer to join our team at Procemex, where you can be part of our strong international growth and contribute to our innovative solutions for the pulp and paper industry. We are now looking for new team member to join us in Jyväskylä.
SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
We are offering a full-time, permanent position for a talented senior software developer to grow our knowhow, part of our experienced software team. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, definition, and implementation of Procemex software components, working closely with clients and having high autonomy to make decisions and drive software projects forward. Strong programming skills, along with expertise in data structures and databases, are essential for this role. Additionally, 30% of the work will involve automation data transfer, requiring an understanding of industrial automation.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop the interfaces of our systems as part of our product development team
- Independently defining, designing, and implementing software components in collaboration with the customer
- Act as a specialist for the project and customer support department and provide consultancy to customers in special cases
- Working in tight cooperation together with the company´s other development teams like camera development and AI/ML
- Communication and cooperation with our customers
Your experience and skills
- Experience in software development, ideally in industrial automation industry
- Programming skills in C/C++, C# and .NET. Knowledge of React, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell is considered an advantage. However, we value experience in other programming languages as well, so we are keen to hear more about your experience
- Experience in Databases and data structures: SQL (MySQL/MariaDB), JSON, XML, and CSV
- Familiarity with some of the following or other automation data transfer technologies: OPC DA, OPC UA, Modbus, RS232/442/482, Profinet, Profibus, EtherCAT etc.
- PLC programming skills are a plus, especially with Siemens, Beckhoff, or Codesys
- Fluent oral and written proficiency in English and preferably in Finnish
- Team working skills and interest to work together with our customers
- Knowledge of paper industry is an advantage, but you could have experience in other industrial industries as well
