We are seeking for Procemex a

EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DESIGNER

to strengthen smart camera development team in Tampere. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing and testing new features for smart camera software, primarily using C as the programming language. Your duties will include testing and debugging software to ensure high reliability and performance, preparing and managing software builds and releases, and collaborating closely with both software (SW) and hardware (HW) teams to ensure seamless integration and development. Our team includes SW, FPGA, and HW designers.

Your experience and skills

• Experience and knowledge in C/C++ coding for embedded systems, with strong proficiency in C as a requirement.
• Experience and knowledge of Linux OS is highly valued.
• Some knowledge of imaging applications and algorithms
• Relevant education background (e.g. MSc or BSc from a technical university)
• Strong teamworking skills
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of hardware design (e.g. FPGA, schematics) and experience with SoC-based systems are considered a plus
